大部份的嬰幼兒服裝都會用屬於天然纖維的棉花製造，好處是觸感柔軟、吸水性佳、通爽透氣，對於初生嬰兒的幼嫩皮膚，全棉衣服是最合適的了，全棉內衣更可說是小寶寶的第二層皮膚，貼身保護寶寶對外來的剌激和過敏。

 

但有所不知，在種稙棉花的過程中使用的農藥（例如：殺菌劑、除草劑、殺蟲劑和落葉劑等），每年佔全球農藥使用的1/4。更甚者，超過半數的美國棉花，屬於基因改造棉，潛在各種對身體健康未知的風險。

 

至於衣服製作中，很多時會用上螢光增白劑去增加織品的白度，令其看起來更鮮艷亮白。當中「可遷移性螢光增白劑」是指添加的螢光增白劑會由洗滌、啃咬、流汗或皮膚觸碰而轉移。貼身的衣服如果含有可遷移性螢光增白劑的話，可想而知就是長期的吸收化學劑到身體，對未建立好免疫能力和發育初期的嬰孩影響更甚。

 

我們生產的內衣都不使用螢光劑及甲烷，每個批次的布料在製衣前和出貨後都會送到化驗所做化驗，確保品質安全可靠。

Most baby clothing is made from natural fibers like cotton, which is soft to the touch, highly absorbent, breathable, and gentle on a newborn's delicate skin. 100% cotton garments are ideal for babies and are often considered a second layer of skin—providing a protective, hypoallergenic shield against external irritants.

However, few are aware that cotton farming accounts for about a quarter of the world’s pesticide usage, including fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and defoliants. More than half of cotton grown in the U.S. is genetically modified, raising potential and unknown health risks.

In garment manufacturing, fluorescent brighteners are often added to enhance fabric whiteness and make clothes appear brighter. Some of these are migratory fluorescent agents, meaning they can be transferred through washing, chewing, sweating, or skin contact. If such chemicals are present in babywear, it can result in prolonged chemical absorption—posing a heightened risk to infants whose immune and developmental systems are still forming.

At CHUBEES, we do not use fluorescent agents or formaldehyde in our babywear. Every batch of fabric is tested in certified laboratories before production and after shipment to ensure safety and reliability.
